Boat Naming - 15th June 2008

Boat Launch - Sunday 15th June 2008

The purchase of the new men's VIII was made possible through generous donations to the PBCF supporting the current Spirit of '56 campaign. The shell arrived from builders Sims in time for training for the May Bumps. The 1st Men's VIII used it to good effect, bumping up one place in the shell's maiden Bumps.

This left the official naming, set for the day after the Bumps finished. Lady Wilson, the wife of our outgoing president, named the shell Wilson of Tillyorn for the outgoing Master. The shell was promptly launched with a mixed crew of alumni, current members of the 1st Men's VIII, and Lord Wilson rowing in the four seat.

Pre-Easter Term Training Week
