Clare Novice Regatta / Emma Sprints Michaelmas 2009

Two consecutive weekends saw two consecutive side by side racing opportunities for the Peterhouse novices recently, those being Emma Sprints (22nd November) and Clare Novice Regatta (28th November). Both the men's and women's sections competed in both events which went (at least partially) ahead in spite of poor weather conditions.

Emma sprints saw the men win their first race if only to have the division called off due to the conditions, wheras the women's division reached completion, with the Peterhouse novice VIII attaining 3rd place.

Clare Novice Regatta saw the men achieve victory over Trinity Hall, Lady Margaret and Jesus boat clubs, sadly to lose to Girton by a small margin in the semi-final.
The women's section unfortunately lost to Pembroke in their first race of the day.

All crews are now in continuous training for Fairbairns, and we wish them the very best of luck this coming Thursday.
